International Internship Scheme

The TW (Temporary Worker) Government Authorised Exchange (GAE) Worker route (“GAE Worker route”) allows individuals to come to the UK for a temporary period on an approved scheme. HRC offers work experience training programs up to 6 months.

The scheme is designed to support young people and future business leaders to experience working for a UK company which, as they develop in their careers, may encourage investment into the UK and the forging of international partnerships with multinational companies in the UK and globally.

The GAE Worker route applies to all nationalities. 

Requirements:

  • You have at least a Bachelor’s degree or above, which was completed in the last 5 years
  • You are under 35 years old
  • You speak a sufficient level of English
     

What is the timeline and costs?

  • 8-10 weeks from the moment you submit your complete dossier
  • £1,500 for the visa fee + £149 program- and insurance fee per month

Skilled Worker Visa

A Skilled Worker visa allows individuals to come to the UK for three years to work, this may be extended by two years.

To apply for a Skilled Worker visa, an individual must:

  • Work or have an offer of employment from an employer who is on the list of registered sponsors
  • Have a certificate of sponsorship from that employer
  • Do, or be offered, a job that Is on the list of eligible occupations
  • Be paid the minimum salary for their job which is the higher of:
    • £26,200 per year
    • £10.75 per hour
    • The ‘going rate’ for the type of work the applicant will be doing
  • Be able to speak, read, write and understand English. If the applicant is not from an English speaking country or was not taught a degree or higher in English they will pass a Secure English Language Test from an approved provider.

  • £1,500 for the visa fee + £624 healthcare surcharge per year

Youth Mobility Scheme Visa

The Youth Mobility Scheme visa (YMS) allows individuals aged 18 to 30 to live and work in the UK for up to two years if they are from:

  • Australia
  • Canada
  • Monaco
  • San Marino
  • Iceland
  • New Zealand

A ballot scheme operates in the following countries via which individuals can apply for one of the places on the scheme:

  • Hong Kong
  • Japan
  • Republic of Korea
  • Taiwan
  • India (ballot not announced yet)

Applicants must have at least £2,530 in their bank account which must be available for at least 28 days in a row. Day 28 must be within 31 days of applying for this visa.

  • £1,950 for the visa fee + £470 healthcare surcharge per year

Graduate Visa

The Graduate visa permits individuals to stay in the UK for at least two years once they have successfully completed a course in the UK. Applicants must:

  • Be in the UK on a current student visa
  • Have studied a UK bachelor’s degree, postgraduate degree other eligible course for a minimum period of time, 12 months or the full length of your course, whichever is shorter.
  • Have been informed by the education provider that they have successfully completed their course.

Applicants who have a PHD or other doctoral qualification will be granted a visa for three years, rather than two. This visa cannot be extended but applicants may be able to switch to another visa at the end of their Graduate visa.

  • £2,950 for the visa fee + £1,248 healthcare surcharge for 2 years or £1,872 for 3 years
