How does it work?
Every week, HRC makes a selection of career opportunities available for the scholarship programs. We will pay for your visa and/or your flight ticket which means that you no longer need a large sum of money to participate in a J-1 visa program. The only money you need is a (small) start-up capital. During your USA placement you pay $250 per month which covers your mandatory insurance and our services. Oh yeah, and HRC does not charge any upfront registration fees. The only condition is that you have to provide a guarantee by credit card which will not be captured unless you leave your career program early.
Has HRC lost their mind? Why?
We believe that our J-1 visa career programs should be accessible to everyone, even if you have a smaller budget. We are committed to the career development of anyone, regardless of background or financial situation. That is what makes us the #1 placement organization for the hospitality industry.
What’s the catch?
There is no catch; the hotels in HRC’s scholarship programs are 4- and 5 star full-service international chain hotels across the United States but often outside of major cities. The scholarship programs are just as exciting and educational as our regular programs.
Salary will vary by city and depend upon your skills and experience. Generally speaking, you can expect to earn enough to maintain a normal standard of living along with saving some money for travel.
Length of stay
HRC's scholarship programs and J-1 visa are for a period of 12 or 18 months.
