Destinations and duration of the program

HRC’s  12-month program offers jobs for freshly graduated culinary arts talents and hospitality professionals in some of the finest hotels and gourmet restaurants across the Netherlands. 

Experience day-to-day life beyond the tourist zones, make friends with locals, and gain deeper insights into the local food and culture. It's a fantastic way to travel, improve your English, and at the same time improve your culinary or hospitality skills and knowledge.

Requirements

To be eligible for the program, you must 

  • have graduated with a bachelor's degree in culinary arts or hospitality management, 

  • have at least 6-months of work experience in a fine dining restaurant or luxury hotel, 

  • have a positive attitude, 

  • be eager to learn, 

  • and have a passion for hospitality and different cultures.

Basic English speaking skills are also required.

Salary  

The stipend for HRC’s  Taste of Europe program is set and is approximately €1,000 per month plus free housing and free meals while on duty.

What is Taste of Europe?

Taste of Europe offers a 12-month work experience for candidates from all over the world, who have a bachelor's degree in hospitality management or culinary arts and have graduated within the last 2 years, to work in luxury hotels and restaurants in the Netherlands. The purpose of this activity is for the candidates to gain international experience and cultural exposure, and then bring this knowledge back to their home country.
