Mobile, Alabama is a historic cruise port city located in the Gulf Coast of the southern United States. With 300 years of history Mobile has a lot to offer from shopping, beach days, and the ever popular Mardi Gras celebrations. There’s something for everyone in this beautiful coastal city!

Housing: Housing in Mobile can be fairly affordable with a one bedroom apartment starting around $700 per month unfurnished and depending on the area. Please note, without established credit your first and last month’s rent may be required as a deposit. HRC recommends you arrive with at least $2,500 as startup capital and to help secure housing.

Transportation: Mobile has a few public transportation options available if staying downtown including a bus service and bike rentals. Climate: Because Mobile is in the Southern United States it can be hot and humid at times. You can expect to see rain an average of 114 days out of the year with an average 66 inches annually. Mobile can also get very hot with average temperature during the summer reaching more then 90F (32C). During the winter months the temperature will drop to around 40F (4C) with little to no chance of snow.
