Starting rate of pay $15.00 per hour.
A family meal is provided per shift.
As an hourly employee you will earn 7 days off a year to use as your Personal Time Off.
A uniform is provided. Please bring your own knives. (must provide own black kitchen pants/shoes/socks & white or gray NON-logo t-shirt) (must provide own lock for locker)
The host employer can assist with airport pick up if needed; however you need to secure housing before your arrival as housing is not offered.

There are 3 new concepts in one building. You will train throughout the kitchens based on your performance.
By the end of their experience, Learn how to cook food to order, train with the Expeditor on how to fire the food at the correct time • Discover through the rotation how to work the many stations this kitchen has to offer • Progressing on merit and business needs, the student will rotate through appetizers, fry, grill, vegetable, saute, and expo stations • The individual will begin to learn the entire menu and to make all of the dishes that are on the menu.
Housing in New York and the surrounding areas suburbs is very expensive and it is still recommended that you start reviewing housing in the area prior to your arrival. The average one bedroom apartment starts around $1700 per month, unfurnished, not including utilities. Keep in mind without any credit it the USA you will need to pay first and last month rent as a deposit. It is advised as a J-1 exchange visitor that you look into options of sharing housing with other locals and/or J-1 exchange visitors. By doing so, you can reduce the costs per month to around $1100; however the costs can also be reduced if you are willing to live outside the city and take public transportation.
