Located in the original carriage house of the historic Wentworth Mansion in downtown Charleston, Circa 1886 has long reigned as one of Charleston’s finest restaurants - a romantic backdrop for birthday celebrations, a quiet setting to discuss business or entertain friends, a one-of-a-kind venue for rehearsal dinners and bridal events. Temporary housing provided upon arrival at their sister hotel. Great walking city in the beautiful Charleston.
The candidate will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week. They will be paid time and a half for any time over 40 hours.
Host Company will provide a chef coat. The candidate needs to bring non-slip shoes, chef pants and a back-up chef coat (if you don’t fit in one of the coats we have, it can take some time for one to be ordered).
One “family” meal is provided when in training.
Vacation time is not provided until after the employee has worked 1 year. However, after an employee has worked 90 days they are eligible for Holiday Pay. The property recognizes 6 holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Circa 1886 is closed on Sundays, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
The employee should fly into Charleston International Airport. We can provide airport transportation if needed or the employee can take Uber, Lift or a Taxi.
The employer will provide 14 days of complimentary room and tax at one of their hotels.
