Rate of Pay:

Guest Service Agent/Guest Relations Officer: $23.83

F&B Coordinator: $24.95

Housekeeping room inspector: $24.95

Benefits:

A business professional dress code is needed. A complimentary meal and break room are provided.

The candidate will accrue 1.54 hours of PTO (personal time off) per week, 7 days of sick days if needed, and 2 personal days per year. Please see the Employer's Handbook for further details.

The Hotel may or may not be able to provide up to 14 complimentary accommodations based on the hotel's occupancy and when the J1 arrives at the property. Candidates MUST communicate the arrival date with HR before they book a flight. If accommodations can not be provided, candidates will need to secure their own housing upon arrival.

No Airport transportation is offered, The J1 will need to get an Uber/Lyft/Taxi to get to the hotel upon arrival.

Transportation:
The City of D.C. has a metro system and there are 2 stops only a 10-minute walk from the hotel.
Depending on the location of your housing, a car may not be necessary while living in D.C. The D.C. metro access across the D.C. area is quite convenient making travel around the city fairly easy. It is recommended that you get metro passes as soon as you can once in D.C. Also, it is important to note that the D.C. metro uses a sliding scale system regarding the cost of their metro, meaning that the further you travel on the metro the more expensive the trip will be. That means it is especially important to consider the location of your housing compared to where the hotel is. Climate:
Being located just at the most southern point of what is considered the American Northeastern region, D.C. has warm summers with often cold winters. The summer average temperatures come out to 80°F (26.6°C) and the winter average is a cool 38°F (3°C). Being located as north as it is, snowfall is also a concern, with the city getting an average of 15.5 inches (39 cm) per year.
