Luxury Hotel right outside of Washington, D.C. is seeking an amazing culinary candidate to join their team! Rotate through Garde Manger Demi Chef, Meat/Grill Station (Hotline), and Restaurant Chef de Partie!
Located right outside of central Washington, D.C., you can visit numerous museums (Spy, News, the Smithsonian museums, National Gallery of Art, and more), various national monuments (Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, etc.), or stop by the National Harbor and ride the Capital Wheel on your days off!

Eligibility criteria for our Career USA programs:
- You are enrolled in a post secondary ministerially recognized academic institution in the hospitality industry OR have a hospitality degree and at least 1 year of recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside of the USA) OR have 5 years recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside the USA)
- You have shown consistent career growth over the last years
- You have shown serious commitment to your most recent employers

Arlington, Virginia is located just across the river from Washington, D.C. and home to several of it’s own historic sites. Visit the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City or the Village at Shirlington for diverse and numerous shopping options. Stop by the Columbia Pike corridor known as “the world in a zip code” to visit one of its several international restaurants. If you enjoy the outdoors more visit one of the several historic sites, hike one of the nature trails, or visit the waterfront. Arlington will keep you busy with countless sights and opportunities!
Housing: Located in the Washington DC Metro area, Arlington can be moderately expensive. A studio apartment can start around $1,400+ per month, unfurnished. HRC recommends that you consider rooming with another J1 or local to share the cost of the living. The metro is very reliable, which allows the option to live outside the city where the cost of living will be a bit less expensive. Please note, without established credit a deposit of the first and last month’s rent may be required. HRC recommends you bring at least $3,000 as start up capital to help secure housing.
