We do not have a uniform. Please bring your own nonslip shoes, chef pants, chef coats, hat and knives. Any color is fine, black is preferred
The hotel has a break room for you to bring your own meals in to eat on your break or there is family meal provided everyday for lunch and dinner
The hotel will provide you with up to 14 days on site accommodations at no cost to you. Possibility of airport pickups – there is a house car. HR will let each candidate know on individual basis. Please reach out to HR BEFORE booking a flight to confirm.

Housing in Nashville can be scarce around Vanderbilt because of location, which is why HRC recommends that you begin searching prior to your arrival. Housing costs in downtown Nashville range from $1,000-$2,000 month for a for a one-bedroom apartment, or shared would be $800 or more.
The most affordable areas in Nashville are in the neighborhoods of Hillsboro Village, 12 South and Sylvan Park. Ask your colleagues if they recommend any neighborhoods as well. Transportation:
There is a bus service within the city limits if you live in downtown Nashville. However, if you plan on traveling outside the city suggest you purchase a car or bike to get around. Within the city buses are available for transportation and monthly passes can be purchased for $65. The Music City Star train line can also be used if living outside the city with a monthly train pass costing between $67.25 and $176.50 depending on the length of the ride. Rideshares and taxi services are also available throughout the city.

Nashville has a humid subtropical climate with moderately cold winters, and hot, humid summers. Monthly averages range from 37.7 °F (3.2 °C) in January to 79.4 °F (26.3 °C) in July.
Snowfall occurs during the winter months, but it is usually not heavy.
